Critical Medications for Santa

old woman
Dear Melissa, Grandma, Ruth, Judith, Sandilands, Ed, Joe, Mary Lou and Greg, Jan, Hatfield, Kathy, Anna, and Jared,

Santa is a 70-year-old patient from the small village of Pujujil, near Xela, Guatemala. She was treated for several chronic health issues including high blood pressure, chronic pain, and respiratory problems during the IU Timmy medical trip in early March. Santa only speaks Mam, the region’s native Mayan language, so translators had to double-up on their communications efforts — from Mum to Spanish to English. Through multiple translators, Santa was able to tell her physician that she sees hope in the future of her community because of the healthcare treatments that they are finally able to receive there.

Thanks to your contribution towards medicines and medical supplies, Timmy Global Health was able to provide Santa with a 60 day supply of critical blood pressure medications, ibuprofen for her pain, and Albuterol for her breathing. Your support allows Timmy to ensure that Santa and other members of her community have access to the care they need until the next medical team returns in May.
