Foni receives a life-changing surgery

When Foni–a 25-year-old Haitian woman–entered one of Timmy’s clinics in the Dominican Republic complaining of abdominal pain following a recent pregnancy, she had no idea that she actually had a 16-pound tumor on her stomach.

Thanks to your support, Foni made it safely through Timmy’s patient referral process. When a patient like Foni has a complex or serious condition, our volunteer medical professionals refer that patient to one of our local hospital partners. And Timmy helps to cover the expenses-including the referral consult, transportation, lodging (when necessary) and medical treatment.

Today, Foni is experiencing a full recovery following her surgery to remove the tumor, which, thankfully, was benign. That surgery was made possible through your contribution. Thank you for fueling our work!
